Vinhjem was born in Giulianova

a gem of Abruzzo nestled between the Mediterranean coast and gentle hills dotted with olive trees and vineyards.

Here, the days drift by slowly, filled with the scent of the sea, the hum of lively piazzas, and the flavours of a cuisine that feels like home. In this untouched corner of Italy — where time seems to stand still — our dream began to take shape.

It was here

that a group of friends, united by a love for good wine and honest food, decided to create Vinhjem.

Our goal? To bring the very best of Mediterranean food and wine into Norwegian homes: unique wines and top-quality products, often impossible to find on the local market, carefully selected for those who seek authenticity, taste, and a truly sensory experience.

FAQs

Is it legal to order wine from abroad to Norway for personal use?

Since 2009, private individuals have been allowed to order wine from abroad. Vinhjem complies with all Norwegian regulations under the Alcohol Act. There is no specific limit on how much can be ordered for personal use.

You can easily place your order at vinhjem.no. All prices shown already include customs duties, excise duty, packaging tax, glass tax, and VAT. Shipping fees are added separately and calculated at checkout.

To place an order with us, you must be at least 18 years old.

How long does the delivery take?

We have two categories of wines:

  • 10 Days Delivery Wines: these wines are delivered within 10 working days from the day they are shipped.
  • 20 Days Delivery Wines: these wines are delivered within 20 working days from the day they are shipped.

We try to ship our orders as soon as possible.

Are all taxes and duties included?

All prices shown already include customs duties, packaging tax, glass tax, and VAT. Shipping fees are added separately and calculated at checkout.

Why do you need my Norwegian personal ID number (11 digits personnummer)?

We request the Norwegian National ID in order for the courier to complete custom clearance. Unfortunately it is not possible to deliver wine to your door without this information.

Where do you deliver?

Your order will be delivered by well-known and reliable courier companies in Norway.

Delivery within Greater Oslo, Lillestrøm, Lørenskog, Asker, and Bærum takes around 10 days for wines already in our warehouse, and 20 days for those that are not.

Unfortunately, delivery outside these areas is not yet possible, but our delivery zones are updated monthly. If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will receive updates whenever new zones become available.
